Privacy Policy

Who is responsible for your information?

The data controller is URBNHAUS LTD, company number 15868812, registered office 33 Dunster Street, Northampton, England, NN1 3LB. Urbnhaus Store operates at urbnhaus.store. Privacy enquiries and requests can be sent through our contact form.

What we collect

When you order or create an account we may collect your name, email, delivery address, phone number where supplied, order contents, payment status and correspondence. We may collect newsletter preferences when you actively opt in, and operational technical information needed for site security and basket functionality. Payment card information is processed by Stripe rather than stored in the Urbnhaus storefront database.

Why we use it and our legal basis

We use details to fulfil orders, accept payment, dispatch goods, provide tracking and deal with returns under our contract with you. We keep appropriate transactional records to comply with legal obligations. We respond to requests, prevent misuse and improve essential site operations where justified by our legitimate interests, balancing your rights. Optional email marketing and non-essential analytics/advertising cookies depend on consent, which you can withdraw.

Who receives information

Necessary information may be processed by our website/hosting provider Base44, payments provider Stripe, the parcel carrier handling your order, and other necessary service providers. They receive only information appropriate to their service. Some services may process data outside the UK; where UK law requires protections we rely on the provider's applicable safeguards. We do not sell customer personal information to advertisers.

Cookies and optional measurement

We use essential basket and authentication storage. Google Analytics or Google Ads measurement is not enabled unless the store has been configured and you consent to optional cookies. You can change your selection using Cookie preferences in the footer. See Cookie policy.

How long data is kept

Order and accounting records are kept as long as required for tax, financial records, refunds and legal claims (often up to six years under UK record-keeping obligations). Account information is retained while needed to maintain the account; enquiries are kept as necessary to deal with the matter; newsletter preferences until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent. We periodically review retention and delete or anonymise information where it is no longer required.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent without affecting prior lawful processing. Submit requests using Contact us and select Privacy request. We may need to verify identity before disclosing account data. You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are dissatisfied.

Marketing

Newsletter sign-up is optional. You may unsubscribe by submitting an unsubscribe request; we will stop sending marketing. Transactional messages about orders, dispatch and support are separate from marketing.
